1. Introduction
Today is International Day of Happiness. When we became aware of this, we felt it was appropriate to make it a topic. Especially with everything that is happening in the world right now.
We are living through extremely difficult times worldwide. The coronavirus pandemic has changed life as we knew it, and it has been for a substantial amount of time.
Happiness is so important.
Happiness starts from within. If you feel good on the inside it reflects on the outside.
Feeling happy can be the difference between:
- A good or a bad day
- A good or a bad experience.
Our mental state of mind is always important, but most certainly during this ongoing pandemic which has literally almost turned the world upside down, it is even more important. My sister and I are most certainly guilty of all of the above. It is an almost everyday battle/struggle trying to find a balance.
In times like this it can be so easy to:
- Forget the life you once lived (before the pandemic).
- Become isolated and introverted.
- Forget about the things that bring you joy and happiness.
Although it can be easier said than done, or feel easier said than done, but we all deserve to be happy. This is why we wanted to help to try and spread awareness of this day.
