We first became aware of this week last year, and we didn’t hesitate to publish a topic on it.
Worldwide we’ve been living through challenging surreal life-changing experiences. The world and the way we once knew it hasn’t been the same since the current pandemic. This is why we feel an awareness of this kind is even more important.

1. Introduction
Last year we did a topic called: November Awareness Month 2021.
One of the Awareness Days covered is World Kindness Day. The reason why this has been mentioned is that the theme for the day truly resonated with us, and touched us. Please see below:

There is so much truth in this statement. A kind word or gesture can truly make the biggest difference to a day, a decision, the mood you are in.
An example I can give of this. My mum’s hospital appointments. On days that we might have been struggling:
- Not sure what department or how to get there
- Me transporting my mum in a hospital chair
In those moments when I’m so engrossed in getting on with my tasks at hand. Out of nowhere people would appear and help us.
There aren’t many words to explain how much we appreciated and how grateful my mum and I are for all of the people that helped us. The difference they made was phenomenal.
As it was such a hard year last year with our Mum being ill for the majority of it, these acts of kindness touched me so much more. It made me feel happy from the inside out.
It was so nice to know some people will willingly help you if they see you are in need, despite the times we have been living in for the past few years.
The themes for this year are: Make Kindness the Norm, No Act of Kindness is too small, Random acts matter. These are all very important values, and with the time of life we have been living through worldwide for over two years, they really could make the greatest difference to our mental state of mind, health and wellbeing.
