1. Introduction
My Dad has been appearing in my dreams again more recently. When he first passed away, he was in my dreams often, and always at the times we needed him the most.
The dreams would help to reassure us or give us confidence in the decisions we were having to make. Decisions we would have asked our Dad advice about, decisions we wouldn’t be making if our Dad sadly hadn’t passed away.
I hadn’t dreamt of my Dad in a while which started making me worry, it made me feel like as more time passes will the dreams stop.
Without me realising these dreams have become a comfort, support, and guidance for me and us as a family. My Dad not only appears in my dreams, but he also appears in my sisters, she remembers some of them but not all. Most recently last year (2021) my Dad has also appeared in my Mums dreams.
In my first dream this year we got some news about the complaint we are making against the hospital. In this dream someone was beside me when I was reading the information, I did not know who it was, but could tell and feel someone was there. After I had read the information I was calling out to my sister to tell her. This dream felt very real. When I woke up I started feeling like it was my Dad who was beside me and we were reading the information together. I felt comforted, happy at ease and at peace in this dream.
What is comforting is in most of the dreams my Dad is walking and he can see, this is the Dad we knew before he was hospitalised in September 2016 which led him to become blind and bedbound. In my most recent dream, my Dad was fixing a car. These are things we are used to our Dad doing. He was a maker and fixer of many things. In the dream, it seemed as though he was outside his house fixing this car.
I’m not sure what this dream might have meant, but my car is due a service today (Monday 10th January 2022) and this week it is also getting fixed after a minor accident I had last year. These are things my Dad would be involved in, as well as his good friend who was our mechanic. He sadly passed away in June 2020. This took us by surprise and made us feel very sad. We also have a topic on it Loss of a Family Friend. Maybe this dream was my Dad assuring me that all will be well with the repairs to my car this week.
We have already done a topic on Visitation Dreams and Signs featuring Tree Carr, but the most recent dreams I’ve been having made me want to find out more. It was a great experience working with Tree Car on this topic.
