1. Introduction to the topic
I came across this quote.
It got me thinking about the many different dreams I’ve been having about my Dad lately. We’ve done a topic on visitation dreams, and dreaming of a parent who has passed away, but this quote made me think about it from a different perspective.
In the most recent dream me, my mum and my sister were in it. At points, I wasn’t even sure if I was awake or dreaming. In the dream, my Dad was helping my mum walk along as he always did. He was leaving and was saying bye to me and my mum, he came to hug us and I remember feeling joy inside smiling and saying to myself, looking at him now, no one would know what he went through, in that moment I was even picturing back to how bad he looked in the hospital and was feeling so much pride and joy that he had come through it. That we’d all come through it. I looked over at my sister and it was like she knew my thoughts. It was a happy moment. I think it was after that point I realised I must’ve been dreaming. But for a split moment, it was real, our Dad had made it through and we were a family again.
To say I was confused when I woke up is an understatement. Life has been very topsy-turvy, and with the situation of hacking we became further and further away from society, social media, we became more and more closed into our own world.

I’m having more and more dreams of my Dad. In my most recent dream we were walking together I can’t remember if prior to that we had been talking to each other. But the point that had my attention we were walking together down the road. I even recognise which area we were in. Peckham in London England. This was my Dad’s area. While we were walking I remember a conversation I was having with a friend from primary school in the dream. She was saying we should do a family tree and it’s important because of what happened with my Dad.
So at the point I was walking with him, I remembered the conversation thinking, but my Dad is fine, he’s here with me, what did she mean.
In these dreams, in those moments I forget, and my Dad is actually with me. It’s the strangest feeling. My mind doesn’t remember that’s not my reality, he is gone and has sadly been gone for many years 😔
It made me intrigued to Google walking with your Dad in a dream, then I remembered I’d started drafting how I felt about previous dreams. With all of these things combined I felt it is time for another topic. And so here it is.
It Is now July 2023. So many things have happened over the year. But one thing that has remained is the dreams about my Dad.

2.1 Why do I keep dreaming about my Dad who passed away
