1. Introduction

Sepsis is something that we feel very strongly about. We first became aware of it after our Dad sadly passed away in March 2017.

Due to his original diagnosis of Infective Endocarditis, a serious life-threatening heart condition, one of the many other serious conditions he suffered from was Sepsis. We have topics on:

I myself was also in the early stages of Sepsis in July 2021. I had a procedure which had an open wound for healing. It got infected twice, but the second time it got into my bloodstream. This led to the early stages of Sepsis which thankfully was treated very quickly. I’m truly grateful as this took over my body very fast and I was very ill very rapidly. When I recovered from the Sepsis, the toxins that it leaked into my body caused the skin on my hands and feet to completely peel off. I did a topic on my experience.

It is for these reasons that our blog is not only about our grief and loss, but also about health and mental and physical health and wellbeing.
