When we asked Romero what he wanted to say about Easter he told us: Jesus was betrayed and he got nailed to a cross. On Easter Monday, when Jesus’ disciples rolled the stone away from the tomb he was in it was shaped like an egg. When they checked inside Jesus’ body was not there as he had risen again.
Holidays can be a difficult time of the year, whether it is the first holiday since the loss of your lost one, or maybe the second or third, these times of the year are never easy.
They can be triggers that could become bittersweet (We have a topic on Triggers and Grief and Triggers, Anxiety and Grief). Memories of times spent together; memories of the last year spent together before things changed.
For my sister and I, we are processing the fifth year since our Dad was laid to rest. Five years without our Dad in our lives. We say this often, but we know the nature of the circumstance in which our Dad passed away has a lot to do with how we are feeling now (We have a topic on Anniversaries and Grief and Goodbye and Grief.
