Today is National Grief Awareness Day. We didn’t question doing a topic on this.
Worldwide so many of us are grieving. The way we grieve, mourn and honour loved ones has changed drastically due to the pandemic.
Grief is still quite a taboo subject; this is why we feel passionate about helping to spread awareness whenever possible. We believe it is important there is an awareness day dedicated to this very delicate and difficult matter.
Grief can be a very difficult subject to talk about. My sister and I lost our Dad four years ago, and our experience has changed us in many ways. We experience emotions on levels we’ve never known before. Everything feels different for us, we are no longer the same, and we are trying our best to live life in the best way possible.
One thing we do know is we are truly grateful for the continued love and support we get from family and friends, and we are truly grateful for the warming welcoming feeling we get from the grief community we are in.
For all these reasons, we will always do topics on matters surrounding grief and awareness of it.
